ANDREA LIBOREIRO ASSUMES FULL LEADERSHIP OF ELANTA AS EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN EDUARDO TAULET STEPS DOWN
Andrea Liboreiro will take full leadership of Elanta, Spain’s leading neutral wholesale telecommunications operator providing fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service, following Eduardo Taulet’s decision to step down as Executive Chairman of the Board after completing a successful management transition. Mr. Taulet plans to focus on personal interests outside of Spain.
Ms. Liboreiro has been Chief Executive Officer of Elanta since separation from Lyntia Networks in January 2023, working closely with Mr. Taulet since then. She was previously General Counsel, Chief Regulatory Officer and Head of M&A of Lyntia Networks, taking a leading role in the acquisition of 138 local FTTH networks, which form the core of Elanta’s business today. Prior to that, she held various management positions within the Telefonica group between 2011 and 2018 and was Legal Counsel of Sociedad Española de Radiodifusión, part of Grupo Prisa, from 2007 to 2011. Mrs. Liboreiro holds law degrees from University College London and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
Following Mr. Taulet’s departure, the executive chairman’s position will cease to exist and Mrs. Liboreiro will assume sole leadership of Elanta.
During his nearly seven years as Executive Chairman, Mr. Taulet played a key role in the growth of Elanta, which was previously part of Lyntia Networks and has been owned by Antin Infrastructure Partners since 2018. Under his leadership and with Antin’s support, Elanta has grown to a leading position in Spain in FTTH, with more than 3 million homes covered, 650,000 customers and 54,000 kilometers of fiber deployed in 711 municipalities in 38 provinces in Spain. Elanta posted revenues of more than 80 million euros in 2024.
Elanta is a neutral wholesale FTTH operator that delivers innovative connectivity services to multiple telecommunications operators and has positioned itself as a key player in the industry by seamlessly combining multi-operator organic and inorganic growth over the past four years.
Mrs. Liboreiro, CEO of Elanta, stated: “I am honored to be assuming full leadership of Elanta. I would like to sincerely thank Eduardo Taulet for his mentorship and support over the past several years. He has been instrumental in Elanta’s growth journey, and I now look forward to working with our fantastic team to write the next chapter of this success story.”
Maximilian Lindner, Partner at Antin Infrastructure Partners and an Elanta Board member, added: “We are very grateful to Eduardo Taulet for our partnership over the past seven years, during which he strongly contributed to developing Lyntia and then Elanta into industry leaders. We also thank him for leading a smooth management transition. We are very confident that the company will continue its growth journey under the leadership of Andrea Liboreiro, and she and the full Elanta team can count on Antin’s continued support.”
