ELANTA SURPASSES THREE MILLION HOMES PASSED AFTER ITS 138TH ACQUISITION

The transaction brings the company’s customer base to more than 650,000 connected customers.

With this transaction, elanta reinforces its already consolidated position as an industry leader in this type of deals: it has successfully completed 138 network acquisitions in just four years.

Elanta, an Antin Infrastructure Partners company, announced this Thursday the 138th acquisition of fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) networks. The transaction, involving more than 100,000 homes passed and more than 6,000 new connections, allows the neutral operator to exceed three million homes in coverage and 650,000 connected customers, as well as reaffirming its position as the leading neutral operator in network penetration. The acquisitions have taken place in different municipalities in the provinces of Alicante, Cádiz and Málaga.

Since 2018, the year in which it was acquired by Antin, Elanta has gone from being a company with 150,000 homes in coverage, 655 kilometres of fibre, 21,000 customers and 2 million in turnover, to having more than three million homes in coverage, more than 54,000 km of fibre, more than 650,000 connected customers and more than 80 million euros in turnover.

Elanta is a neutral and wholesale FTTH network operator because it offers connectivity services to multiple telecommunications operators that market these services to end customers. Any operator can access elanta’s connectivity services via API integration or through the new multi-operator, self-managed web access platform.

Customer portfolios with long term recurring revenue are the new infrastructure asset. Elanta remains true to its goal of being the partner of reference for its operator customers by offering them an attractive, diversified, technology-neutral and state-of-the-art footprint that allows them to optimize their investments and continue to grow” said Andrea Liboreiro, CEO of Elanta.

More leader in network acquisition

Elanta has a scalable business model that combines the deployment of its own networks and the acquisition of networks from third parties. When it acquires networks, it performs a careful modernization and integration work, providing its homes with multi-operator capacity coverage in residential and corporate XGSPON profiles with premium technology and an excellent backhaul connection, to be marketed by different retail operators.

The company has FTTH networks in 38 Spanish provinces and 711 municipalities, and is particularly present in medium-sized towns on the east coast and in the south of Spain, which offer very attractive growth dynamics from a demographic and economic point of view. With this operation, it demonstrates that it is very well positioned to continue expanding.
