ELANTA COMPLETES ITS 137th ACQUISITION AND CONSOLIDATES ITS LEADERSHIP IN THE NEUTRAL OPERATOR SECTOR

The transaction enables elanta to exceed 2.9 million homes passed and 625,000 connected customers.

With this transaction, elanta reinforces its already consolidated position as an industry leader in this type of transactions: it has successfully completed 137 network acquisitions in just four years.

elanta, an Antin Infrastructure Partners company, announced this Thursday  its 137th fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network acquisition. The operation of 85,000 homes pqassed  and 11,000 new connections allows the neutral operator to exceed 2.9 million homes passed and 625,000 connected customers, as well as to reaffirm itself as the sector leader in this type of operation.

Since 2018, the year in which it was acquired by Antin, it has gone from being a company with 150,000 homes passed, 655 kilometers of fiber, 21,000 customers and 2 million in turnover to having more than 2.9 million homes passed, more than 54,000 km of fiber, more than 625,000 connected customers and more than 80 million euros in turnover.

elanta is a neutral FTTH network operator and wholesaler because it offers connectivity services to multiple telecommunications operators that market these services to end customers.

This transaction confirms elanta’s vocation for organic and inorganic growth and reaffirms the company’s leading position in the sector in terms of the number of networks acquired and customers connected,” said Andrea Liboreiro, CEO of elanta.

MORE LEADER IN NETWORK ACQUISITION

elanta has a scalable business model that combines the deployment of its own networks and the acquisition of networks from third parties. When it acquires networks, it performs a careful modernization and integration work, providing its homes with multi-operator capacity coverage in residential and corporate XGSPON profiles with premium technology and an excellent backhaul connection, to be marketed by different retail operators.

The company has FTTH networks in 38 Spanish provinces and 711 municipalities, and is particularly present in medium-sized towns on the east coast and in the south of Spain, which offer very attractive growth dynamics from a demographic and economic point of view. With this operation, it demonstrates that it is very well positioned to continue expanding.
